On
a nearby hillside overlooking historic Cerrillos, New Mexico and the scenic
Galisteo River valley, resides the Lori Musil Gallery. My work encompasses
a wide range of artistic media---oils, acrylics, pencil, watercolors, pastels…and
a new found love for clay. Each piece in its fine detail testifies for my
love of horses, nature and the history of the West and its inhabitants.
A
native of the southwest and a cowgirl at heart, my pictures embody a variety
of subjects…from cowboys and Indians, to sun-dappled gardens and spirit-filled
landscapes. Every medium speaks to me in a different manner---each having
its own style and stroke. |

After
30 years in the diversified field of commercial art, I had experienced everything
from advertising, logo designing, sign and mural painting, marketing consulting,
silk screening and designing and color separating artwork for the west’s
top ceramic businesses. I even apprenticed in the jewelry field and learned
all aspects of manufacturing in precious metals.
Now I prefer the pastoral hills and mountain views of New Mexico, painting,
gardening, building, and riding my horses to the fast-paced world of advertising
and graphic art.
My work has been exhibited and has won many awards in national and international
shows. From miniatures to lifesize pieces—humor and great attention
to details attests for my love of each medium and the subject. |
