Horsehide
This lifesize resin plastic horse sculpture was part of the TRAIL OF PAINTED PONIES, New Mexico's version of the popular public art projects connecting community and local charities together. HorseHide is covered with a herd of Longhorns with one catch, can you find the hidden Appaloosa horse amongst them? The handpainted pony was sold at auction for $25,000 and now resides in Vermont. The monies helped pay for Habitat For Humanity's 2003 Womens Build Project House.
A maquette size version (12"x14") is available for commission for $3500.
Due to the peoples' love of this pony, I have been asked to campaign to get this pony reproduced. If you'd like to be put on the "campaign list", please contact me!
